EXPERIENCE

Senior Multimedia Designer · May 2003 - Present

Lead the Flash development team in the design and creation of numerous animations for Web, video, and mobile devices as well as programming of educational activities and games. Work with instructional designers, content specialists, programmers and production artists to ensure usability, consistency, quality across platforms and in a variety of languages.

Create numerous illustrations, character designs, animations and ActionScript for a variety of applications including UIs, Web, CD, games and video. Writing scripts, story boarding, editing and layout of animation.

Also responsible for DVD authoring using DVD Studio Pro systems including creating animation and graphics for menus and all necessary programming.

Purchase hardware and software for the department when needed.

Management of multiple projects and Flash production, animation direction, user testing and data collection, meeting facilitation, staff training, creative and technical writing, preparing and delivering technical conference presentations.

Worked with various state initiatives and provided training to elementary, middle and high school teachers and RETA staff.

SERVICE

Chair, International SIG & NM State Representative, Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Life and Human Sciences(ACE) - I have been providing leadership to the SIG in our mission to expand the international scope of the ACE organization. We have charter members in Canada, The Philippines, and Russia. This past year, I have been working on establishing formal relationships with Mexico and Costa Rica. In the course of this work I authored two grants seeking funding for study tours for our team. I also built and maintain the SIG’s Site: http://internationalsig.wordpress.com/

I have also been serving as the conduit for ACE and local members by planning local professional development and networking opportunities and recruiting members within the state and other local agencies.

Annually, I present technical sessions and workshops to my peers, with two sessions already accepted for June 2009.
